BELTS!!!!

Hey has any one had probs with there car throwing the wide belt that runs power steer & aircon? All idler pullys are new. Under load it throws them to the out side had lazer lite to make sure its all in alignment & its all fine. Was doing it before i replaced pulleys as well.

its a known prob...
mine did it until i fitted a new belt and tightend it up alot!

I recently changed my belts as well, i put the belts on, started the engine for a few moments and then checked the tension again, the tension was ok but the p/s belt had come off one groove at the p/s pump but was running along all the other pulleys fine,

I checked the pulleys and found very very slight play in the p/s pump, i put the belt back on and tensioned it a bit more and its fine

where did you guys buy your ps/ac belt pulleys from?

Yeah i had the problem twice until i went to Mitsubishi and now its sweet... knock on wood

I had the same problem, you can get the belts from any Super Cheap/Repco, they should be under the Parts Guide.

I put on a new one as it had tore up a bit and had a few cracks through it, and tensioned it up a little tighter, no problem since.
