Hi Guys,

Hopefully someone can shed some light on an issue im having .

I have recently aquired my 1998 galant vr4.

the car has a jap tuned ecu and had a hks electric boost controller in it before.
the boosts controller doesnt work and it runs crap on 6 psi actuator pressure.

Ive fitted a turbosmart bleed valve to get it back to 13 psi. but it just wont get there

Ive checked the whole syste, for leaks and pressureised it and it is now leak free

I can get it to .7 of a bar but it always backs off to .5 of a bar over 4-4500 rpm :(

Ive tried to sus the boost control install thread and im a premium member but the pictures dont work .

Im almost certain its correct. the vacume goes from the cooler pipe to the bleed valve then from the bleed valve into the pipe with the red band that the restrictor pill was in ..
from what i can gather this goes to the turbo actuators. if not please tell :)

Thanks guys

Check for rags
It's a sad fact that even with a rag in it, my car built 17psi of boost. It just built it oddly and rather inconsistently.

I don't know the maths on this, but I can only assume it had a lot to do with the already shitty intercooler being made even more shitty. It was a great car on cold days.
