Hi guys, Ive been reading around about how to make a DIY boost leak tester. There seems to be a few methods some more complicated than others. The easiest one seems to be to connect just after the MAF and pressurise the whole system.

I just wanted to get some opinions on this, being new to these sort of repairs, I may have misunderstood the instructions.

Some further explanation

These guys talk about testing a Twin turbo system. It seems they are suggesting blocking off the intake to both turbos then pressurizing everything after the turbos. As I understand you want to check for any leaks after the MAF as air being sucked in after the MAF is bad. This test would exclude all the pre-turbo hoses.

Where as this link talks about blocking off directly after the air box and just before the plenum. As far as I can see this would pressurise the whole system.

So I was thinking of trying the second option for two reasons.
1- Its Easier
2- Tests the intake as well

any thoughts?
