Climate control too cold (internal temp sensor broken?)

I recently have to set my climate control to 28°C for it to stop pumping out ice cold air even when outside temp is 15°C.

I'm guessing the internal temperature sensor is bust.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Where is the internal sensor located? Thanks guys!

There's a hose coming from the back of the module. Check that hasn't fallen off first

There's a hose? Mine just has two plugs. Cannot find a hose anywhere.

Yup mine had the same issue. Need to connect that hose otherwise the system can't read what the air temperature is correctly.

Anyone have a good way of keeping it on there? Mine in both cars would slip off easily.

There's this marvellous invention called a zip tie... :)
Yes Mister Smarty Pants I've tried that haha. It just slipped off or snapped when I tightened it, maybe I should try stronger ones or a hose clamp :)

The design of the hose and fitting is actually pretty crap. It's a friction fit with very little natural friction between the surfaces, and no stretch in the hose at all. I'm a bit worried that trying to make it stick by pushing too hard will result in splitting the hose. A zip tie won't really help much because there's no lip and nothing compresses when you tighten it.

If mine comes apart again, I'm thinking of putting a bit of spray adhesive around the outside of the piece that goes inside the hose.

Cheers for the help guys. I will check it out and report back. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Gives me a good excuse to secure my forever-sinking radio while I'm at it. :)

The hose definitely isn't attached, but I can't find it anywhere.

Well that sucks! I'm not sure where the hose leads to so I can't tell you where to look for the other end of it. If you remove your radio though you should get a good look around in there.

Yeah, I had the radio removed and all.

Found it by poking my phone around on video mode. Just caught the tip of it.
Sneaky bastard was black (unexpected) and camouflaged well behind the steering wheel.

Cable tied the bugger so it can't do a runner again.

It goes down to very close to the ECU, there's a sensor there. You will find the hose is open ended so the remains of the sensing air is 'dumped' behind the centre console.
