I'd be careful grinding the pressure plate, all the pivot strength of the pressure plate fingers comes through that surface. Oscars pressure plate had actually worn down past the rivots! Causing his very grindey clutch.

I've had this since having my last clutch installed over a year ago, kinda like the whole car shudders and makes a groaning sound while slipping at a certain point on the clutch, or literally a knock knock knock knock sound really fast. Hard to describe - maybe I should take a video. Didn't have this problem with the 7223 HD that I had previously, if memory serves this one's a SO with one of the parts from the Evo clutch and the other from the Magna one.
Put it this way, unless you have over 200kw atw, stick with the HD if you plan on it feeling nice to drive lol

Costing up a cheap evo flywheel currently so provided Chris still has the spacer kit that should rectify the issue without the need for any grinding.

I think the key issue here is your SO is likely the 7420SO.. which sits up higher than the 7223.

Evo Flywheel + Spacer + 7420*
Legnum Flywheel + 7223*

Seems that "some" evo clutch kits "work".. some don't... likely simply because you can make a shallower or deeper pressure plate. for specs that are otherwise all the same.
