Is it a bolt in proposition for a aussie delivered galant to drop the vr4 running gear into?

I'm considering it for my HJ as i need some front panels anyways, but it would be nice for some turbo and 4wd action.... Not realy too interested in having the turbo motor an trying to push it only through the front wheels.

he's based in nsw.. and he's already done couple if not several HJ's into AWD TT 7G's
 
As I am completely clueless about the 7G Galant with the 6A12TT...
Is the gearbox compatible with our 8G VR4s? By looking at photos of the 7G engine bay, everything looks mirrored, so I'm guessing the gearbox may be on the other side?!? Can someone please confirm this?
 
The 7g gear box can be bolted up to the 8g engine with a bit of welding/tapping. Goku (Kayne) is currently doing this to his 7g here in Christchurch.
 
If u put the 6a13tt in it the thing would fly... They only weigh 1290kg :D would love to do it to mine as my auto gearbox just gave out anyway... It's for sale now for someone to buy and strip down for parts as I need the money :( good luck with the conversion
 
Just a little bump from the dead.

I'm looking to do a 6A12TT conversion, wanted to know what clutch I should use with the std FWD box? Are TT and n/a flywheels the same. Can the n/a air con pump work on the tt motor? Is the loom the same?

Just want to know the traps before I take my daily driver off the road.
 
TT & FWD clutches are the same..

aircon.. not sure.. but from memory, the old one still fitted..
 
So I can just run a std VR4 TT clutch plate and disc on my n/a flywheel then?

Or is it that the n/a clutch is already the same?
 
why not contacting nervis.. since he's got one already.. and its in AWD too..

I think he's selling it for $6000.. which is pretty much similar to what you're gonna spend anway..
