[EOI] Bathurst Cruise?

Hey guys!

Paul mentioned that we should do a Bathurst Cruise sometime soon in the "Friday Night Run" topic.. Since I love doing that run (Windy roads, on to highway, on to Mt. Panorama - Great nice mix) I figured I'd see how much interest there is, and hope to get something going asap!

Now, let's hope for beautiful weather, as if it is raining it'd just make things a bit suckier, I want a perfect weather day hahah..


We've done this before, and had a great day out!

Here is the run we did:

We met at Richmond RSL, and took Bells Line Of Road through Lithgow and on to Bathurst


Now, dates.. Use the poll at the top, and we'll find the date that suits everyone best!
August: 29/30
September: 12/13
September: 19/20
September: 26/27
Sometime in October

As usual, I reckon we make it an open cruise to anybody wanting to bring mates along and stuff!

I won't go making this topic on other forums, but if members feel they want to invite the MCA boys or something, feel free to go ahead

im up for it but wont meet you in sydney just meet at bathurst or lithgow, as long as i have notice so i can plan it.

most dates suit just need to plan for it

Chances are I won't be sober for most of Sunday 27th from the night before, so I'm not too keen on that date, but I figured I'd put the date up there anyway incase it so happened most people were wanting then haha..

Dave, we met up at around 10am in the morning, by the time we got to MtPanorama with 1 stop off on the way for breakfast, it was around midday-1pm (I forget exact)..
Hang about, do laps, chat, take photos, etc..

It is about 2-2.5 hours to get back to Sydney.. You can either go straight down the freeway, through the blue mountains, and on to the M4 motorway which is faster, or you can go back through Bells Line of Road (which, depending on day and time may have some traffic coming in to Richmond)

If October long weekend comes up, can we paint "for sale" on Dawso's Leggy and enter him in Mount Panorama? We'd have enough heare for a pit crew and all wear ozvr4 logo shirts from Wes.

Oh yeah I forgot about the Bathurst 1000. Might want to scratch the weekend before that as it will be ridiculous out there.

I'd say i'll be in when ever but prefer later in September as it'll give me time to sort the white car out and ask my wife if she will survive without me

The Bathurst 1000 is from 8-11 October, so just the weekend before (2-3rd) should be out. They're not in the poll so don't worry
