I am getting a quote for prototyping the center console I made.

The run would be of 20 of them in polyurethane... same shape as the one I have in my car as it would be molded off it.

They would need to be covered in leather or a nice CF decal of course...

I am after expressions of interest. Would people be interested in buying these?

They fit a yum cha 10" lcd touch screen... which I would need to confirm the availability and size of (I purchased mine from ebay for ~$300 delivered)...

Fit the aircon obviously and have a std single din slot at the bottom.

I have nfi on the price... what would you be willing to pay?

Does the screen come without the ugly screen saver in the above shot? ;)

Wow, that looks pretty neat, although it'd be nicer if the a/c was flush :)

Although, I wonder if there'd be any way to integrate it into a carputer a la MMCS?

I guess setting up a car-pc is a bit of work. I didn't really consider this.

Maybe if I was supplying a whole package that just needed wiring in like a new HU this would be more attractive.

Where the AC sits currently, it couldn't be flush because it has zero clearance on the sides

Ahh OK, that makes sense... Nah, all I meant about the MMCS comment was I wonder if it'd be possible to make up a custom interface for the aircon on a carputer... just an idle thought, not a criticism of your work mate :)
