EOI: Wash Meet Saturday 28/03/09

Hi Guys/Girls,

I'll be in vic for a very brief stint this saturday as I am flying over to collect a very nice rare as hell aus delivered evo 6.5 (and black too!) that Nick was thankfully able to look at on my behalf

I havent booked flights yet (ill be coming over with a mate) but the cheapest ones I can find seem to be around the 3-5pm mark but would love to get there around 2pm as its a good 6 to 8 hr drive back.

Would be good to catch up albeit it only for a cpl of hours at the most to put faces to names, have a chat and generally socialise whilst cleaning our cars

Also would any of you know roughly how much a taxi would cost from the airport to clayton south? Google maps indicates its around 20-30kms so $50 should be plenty?

Ill post up once I have more accurate times but it would be roughly some time between 3pm and 6pm (vic time) which includes me collecting the vehicle and meeting all of you at the carwash etc.

you would prob be looking at 60 to 70 id say for a taxi that far.

Although if you can get on the south eastern fwy you may save a bit.

i think you have to pay a citylink fee if using the Fwy, but i'm guessing that would be quicker. i think the fare would be closer to 80 but its a long time scince i cought a taxi, saturday might have less traffic but theres alot of roadworks going on along the monsh Fwy.

i should be good to catch up saturday but not 100% sure.

far out how expensive are your taxi's lol...(ours are around $1.76 per km)

just letting you know this idea has now been scrapped, im unable to hang around after purchasing the car and will instead be driving it straight back to SA after picking it up.
