The turbos are so tiny the benefit would be negligible to spool response. Main advantage would be the engine bay temp decrease. I ceramic coat my custom dumps as they are right beside the alt and a/c. To actually answer the question I think there may have been 1
Memeber in the build but isn't finished/ gone quiet.
Out of all the things I'd like to do to mine, for performance/bettering, ceramic coating is HIGH on that list. It seems t be a pain in the rear to worry about the bonnet vents in these things as no one is Aus seems to have them (reasonably priced), reducing the under bonnet temps in a more direct sense would HAVE to be the way to travel.
I've not gotten under mine to check the dumps but, as more than one of you have obviously changed them out for larger ones, I'm going to assume that the standard ones are TINY and can stand to opened up a touch?
Is it safe to say that ceramic coating them made a dramatic difference?
I've read that removing that heat shield is a general no no to these cars.
Just a hint. Remove the rubber strip along the back edge of the bonnet. Makes a nice 1inch gap for extra flow.
Does the same
Job as spacing the bonnet up.
Rear dump
Pipe is the restrictive one. The front can be die ground out to match the 2.5' front pipes supplied by meek. I make the dump pipes for front and rear ceramic coated. Had to coat them as they just sit too close to the air con and alternator at the back.
