Fuel Filter Part number

Hi all, I am trying to sort out out a pinging problem I have so I will start with the basics first...changing the fuel filter. I have searched the parts guide and located the part number MR212200 and the Repco number of RRF113, only problem when I search the repco site the part number is not recognised. Is there another part number I can look for i.e. Ryco???

Just wondering when you need to change a fuel filter and is it an expensive job (considering its done by a mechanic)..also is ours an internal or external fuel filter?

External and should be a quick easy job, It's under the car, driverside looking under passenger door

Spoke to Repco, none in Canberra so they are getting one form SA (RFF113) $39.95

Probably a bit late but Autobarn have a direct replacement in their computer just ask the for it and give them your make/model number and it will show up.I paid $18 for mine and it was identical to the stock one.Not sure how often it NEEDS to be changed but for $18 do it yourself whenever you want.

Anyone tried Repco RFF-165? They said it was a match for the wesfil Cooper wcf96.

Repco has previously recommended a variety of part numbers such as Repco RFF-33 and Repco RFF-96, but the one that was put on my car at compliance was RFF-113.

Personally I'd rather not stuff around and go with the Wesfil which is confirmed to be no problem. Especially after the hassle I had with the Ryco equivalent leaking.

Fitted the RFF-165 today,

It is the black 1 in these photos, the gold is the old WCF96

Some obvious differences with the length and exact location of the tube, but it fitted up no problems.

Personally I'd rather not stuff around and go with the Wesfil which is confirmed to be no problem. Especially after the hassle I had with the Ryco equivalent leaking.

I will keep an eye out for leaks, where did it leak from on yours?

I think the Ryco was leaking from the outlet, the threaded side.

Well the WCF was still there, looked alright, the green paint is from the saw blade...

8 months of ethanol fuel. Really wish I had used a better saw. I am going to assume/hope the metal filings are from that lol.

I have seen dirty ones before, they seem to have a color gradient through them where the really bad shit gets trapped on the outside and clogs it, none of that on this one.
