How much play allow in alternator & p/s,a/c belt?

Hey fellow VR-4 owners,

I am wondering how much play or what is the tension or the amount of millimeter of when press down, is the factory standard for these 2 belt?

Hope u guys get what i mean and what i am asking here!

I asked the question in minik's how to thread and no answer so far.

Too loose and they will squeal, but not much tighter than that as far as I know.

Tight, you don't want much play at all. Don't overtighten them until they're stretching, but you don't want more than a couple mm of flex.

Sorry Hugh I didn't notice it in my thread, anyhow I did them so they were tight enough to not squeal but not too tight as you don't want to put extra pressure on the pulleys. Mine have now started to squeal occasionally so I will tighten them a bit more but that is after about 3 or 4 weeks of driving. I think all new belts will flex a little.
