Hey guys,

I'm gonna be looking at getting an intake pipe made up now that I have relocated my battery. Does anyone know if there will be any benefit extending the loom for the MAF and placing that up behind the headlight, just after the filter? or would it be fine/better to keep it back where it usually sits?

Thanks :D

Depends on the filter and the pattern of airflow it generates before reaching the MAF.

K&N have oval pods with a MAF adapted suitable for such applications.

looking closer looks like it also has a nice turbo infeed pipe

Like this?

Yeah pretty much Paul. If you had the MAF sitting back further in that setup, would it read worse than where it sits currently?

I was just thinking it would look nicer right up behind the pod like that but didn't want it to create any turbulence issues or something.

If one has a single turbo setup, MAF should be positioned as far away from the turbo as possible. At least we have one case where suction from turbo fucks up maf. MAP - of course - is the final answer :)
