It should be possible as someone has put a 6A13TT into a 7G with the engine on the drivers side, so it should be possible to put a 6G72TT into an 8G with the engine on the passenger side. The 6G73 was installed in some 7G's so those engine mounts might just work!
id rather keep it on the drivers side. use a 6g75 block and grab some 6g72 DOHC heads for 3.8L of dominance
