KYB AGX.. Do they make a kit for our cars?

like the title says.. do they make a kit for our cars?

had it in my last galant and I was very happy with it..

here's a pic for those who don't know what it is..

shockies are adjustables, some with 8 settings some 4..

been reading through Msport.co.nz alot of guys there said that the KYB AGX for the 7th gen Galants do fit the 8th gen VR4's

what the diff with this set, and using coil overs?

any price or performance difference?

i personally though that coil overs would do a better job.

the only downside of this, there's no height adjustment.. IMO

but the advantages over coilovers are 1. price 2. dampening adjustment for the rear is easily accesible than a coilover

they might not be in QLD but im 99% sure that they are here in SA, all depends on your states laws

My car came with tein coilovers and passed inspection from department of transport so dont think they are illegal in WA.

Did some research... AGX are also branded Super Street in Japan. Super Street are available for the EC7W chassis part #SSB9078(f) and SSB9079(r).

Can anyone (Carsten, Brad?) tell me if this is different and therefore will not fit? it is still the AWD chassis, but with a 2L petol engine (from what I can gather) so unsure if there are other differences... this may be an option though..

J-B if height adjustable suspension is illegal in your state.. then I guess this is your solution..

I have tried this setup in my previous galant (KYB AGX & King Springs) my gf's opinion of it was 'it felt like it was on rails'

also I think fitting this into a Legnum wouldn't be a problem since the HJ Galant and Legnum's weight are fairly similar..

the 3g eclipses ones fit, at least the usdm galants

Pedders got my car up on the hoist and they reckon the cars got KYB shockies and lowering springs and it's a 97 Leggy so they did make products for our cars. Probably made them when the Leggy were released/popular in Japan.

KYB are standard with these cars. Not sure about the adjustables and lowered springs.

Ah cool, explains why I bottom out with a few mates in the car on tall speedbumps. Stock shockies and lowered springs. The car rides pretty damn well considering.

Oem shockies were made by KYB,

The ralliart adjustable dampers were also made by KYB

I'll be getting the KYB AGX very soon and will make a comparison between the 2..
