I'm fuming at a seller on Evo Oz, he dicked me around for a week getting shipping costs on a set of wheels to put my semis on, as soon as he told me final price I eft'd the money, he was meant to send them first thing Monday...ring the company only to find out the seller wanted them to only pick them up on Thursday arvo.
Not ready at all yet Kym - new front pipes, front brace, fluids and a few other bits and pieces to go in tomorrrow. Prob should have done a wheel allignment and got my sh!t together earlier
Made it If i hadnt grabbed that couple of litres of fuel off you i would have been stuffed - loaded 55.7 l in when i got to Gawler. All up, average fuel economy for that tank was 22.9l/100 kms!!!
The servo had a temporary fuel cap which works like a dream in the oil cap position. Front left brake is grating and sounds like i have an exhaust/boost leak but in positive news, tidied up the engine bay at a car wash on teh way home and have got the air filter soaking in detergent now, should be good as new
All up had a ton o' fun, learnt heaps more about how the car performs, learnt some mods need to be done sooner rather than later and will be back next year id say
Fortunately i stopped running a couple of laps before the end of teh session as i was running low on fuel and pulled up to find that i had somehow blown the oil cap off and made a real mess of the engine bay
Sounds kinda like fun..... till the whole oil cap thingy.
22L/100 - good effort that!! did you see any knock when on the track? were you using Jons evoscan GPS to log your runs? if not, see the CEL at all?
Finally, we on for friday night still?
haha yeah not likely.
my biggest regret for the day was due to spark issues on the way there i couldn't set the boost controller so was still only running around 6psi the whole day. Then by lunch time my turbo had decided that being attached to the manifold was kinda overrated and my response was also gone i had better acceleration out of my old SR20DE by the end of the day.
What did work well though was the handling. The softer suspension i ran this time was much better suited to the track and i cant rave enough about how well the KU36's gripped. i just kept pushing harder and harder and only once did they really let go, however i think that was more me tapping the break a tad to late and the weight change unsettling the car
All up though it really was a great day and was really good to see Dion out.
Now all we need is a few more of you guys out
