Fellas,

since there's alot of the QLD members interested in having a go at Lakeside.. I'd like to know your opinion..

Should it only us VR4 guys or shouldwe also include other people?

I think having 10 to 15 cars would be more than enough so we can have it on a weekend..

Track Conditions as per below..

- $30 for the track and food, I think the track is free. The food itself is $30
- Drinks are extra.. I dont think there were any alcoholic drinks available
- It is a Happy Lap / Fun Run
- Insurance would be void if you dont include this in your insurance
- Rear end another car, it'll be your fault regardless of the circumstances, track official will most likely back up the car you hit and same goes with insurance companies
- No helmets required or special clothing. From memory if you use one they'd tell you to remove it (ask Matt - Nitephyre)
- No Drifting, this isn't a drift track, we all know sometimes it just happens when we push our cars and can easily be done on a RWD car.. so please be careful

Unofficial OZVR4 requirements..

- Make sure your car is in safe condition - suspension, BRAKES, cooling system, BRAKES, tires and other stuff.. I'd like everyone to come home happy not, angry nor sad..
- Prepare your car.. I know it's just for 30 minutes.. but that's 30 minutes of abuse of your car..
- make sure you have $30 for the fee as well as extra $$ just in case..
- water - to keep yourself hydrated..
- act like a fool and you'll be treated like one :) we're there to have a good time
- Fire Extinguisher, have 1 or 2 mounted somewhere.. mine's in the boot..
- I personally prefer the day to be exclusive to ozvr4 members but Im pretty sure some of your friends would like to come along as well.. it is fine, as long as they don't act like a fool :) sorry but I don't want us (as a community) to have a bad rep.. that's all..

so? what do you think? give me all your opinions whatever it is.. :)

Sounds good and I'd love to do it again, although I reckon it'd be even more awesome to get together for an actual sprint day, but that requires safety gear (helmet, long sleeves & pants but I recommend gloves & driving shoes as well) plus about $250... but it's well worth it.

Also yes, you don't need any gear for the happy laps, as they reckon it'll encourage you to be stupid.. to which I replied I'm not worried about myself, I just don't trust anyone else :p

wow!

(but i know those cars, just seeing them listed with hp ratings is wow)

you can do a few timed sessions for $145 (i think its 2 or 3 sessions consisting of out lap, 5 or 6 timed laps and a in lap)

Im up for this! Just had the tranny cooler put in and the 100k service done. Brakes should be fine, not planning on really racing through it.

Seriously Paul, go die in a fire. :p

So not fair! I havent even put tires on my flashy new enkeis, and I think this will be the third (?) set of rims you've gone through since I bought them.
