Hi folks!

Here goes my very first question in the QLD forum! :)

I am leaning more towards a Legnum, as I love the extra boot space!

I see there's currently one in ebay, and also one in carsales, both in QLD, which I think I might be interested.

Do they belong to any of the members here in QLD? I would appreciate any advice on those two cars and also what to look out for when getting Legnums/Galants.

Thanks for looking!

Oh btw, are there any good mechanics that deals with Galants/Legnums in South Brisbane? A specialised car needs a specialised mechanic!

If that PFL is in good condition, 8k is a great price. Edit. Just checked out the full auction page for this one:
"The vehicle has been well maintained including reconditioned heads and timing belt ($10,000.00 work done by Bob Romano Performance), all done at 98,000kms."

So it has had its timing belt done. That is one thing you dont need to do. But i would love to see the list of work that was carried out on it that constituted a $10,000 bill!

Cannot say I recognise either of them

Just ask if the FL had had its major service. As that is an easy 2.5k all up. Also, being manuals, and over 100k, ask if they are still on stock clutches. This is what I would personally do. You'll be laughing if they've been replaced already.

If you could get the Facelift down in price a bit, considering it has a full year rego, that is what i would chose. The Prefacelift has nil rego and he has indicated that it would require minor work to get it registered. Allow at least $1,000 - $1200 for 12 month rego.

Hah! Yeah, Romano. Pricy! Learnt my lesson after one excessively expensive service on an old car. I can believe $10k. Curious as to why the heads copped a reco. I'd personally avoid it.

+1 to Gojira! 100thou service and hopefully clutch done and you'll save a bucketload.
