[QLD]: Good place for AYC service & auto trans flush etc

Hi guys,

Looking to get my Auto Transmission flush/service and maybe needing a TC seal replace (just started to experience slipping in the GB for the 1st time last nite)... and later a AYC service as well!

Leebutts said to forget about Zupps Southport... so how about Zupps on Logan Rd? or maybe other Mitsubishi dealer that sell EVO like Nundah and Toowong?

Evo guys goes to Neal Lowe, but seem like he is always busy!


So who in Brisbane should i go to, that know their sh!t?!?!? and won't charge a fortune!?

also what price should i expect for each of the above things to be carry out?

Hi Ben,

the Mitsi dealers people have tried seem to think their diagnostic tools can't speak to our 'Japanese' ECUs (which sounds like complete BS, but anyway...) and therefore can't bleed the AYC. I would take it to an Evo specialist like Neal but as you say, he is really busy so you may need to wait.

Otherwise try to speak to a mechanic and not just the service staff at Zupps to explain what you want done to make sure they do it properly (there are 3 different fluids in the AYC that need to be changed, use the search to find more info).

I'm sure Mitsi could do the transmission flush and TC seal for you.

Neal may be quite a wait, but I think it's worth it. Very good pricing, great guy to deal with and knows his shit. I'll be booking in again soon, myself...

Think i need to book in with Mitsubishi 1st to get the transmission flush and TC seal done first. Then i'll wait for Neal to do the AYC.

Also do u guys know the ballpark figures they charge for each of these job?

Why do them separately? Neal can do both. It's about $70-80 an hour, and the TC seal takes about 8-10 to do.

coz the transmission is not very nice to drive with the slipping going on! Hope is nothing more than the TC seal!
