Remote Central Locking key

Does anyone know if i can re program an already programmed central locking key.

I have found one i wish to buy as my car did not come with one , but it is from another car.

I rekon i could pull it apart and change the actual key part , but would i be able to re program the sensor bit to my own car?

If you don't have a key already, just program your car to suit the key.

have you found a blank remote key? as it might be hard to get it recut to match your ignition barrel. also if you get this key make sure that the chip in the key is ok, mine is stuffed, its got 2 big burn marks in the circuits.
