Shipping delays - more grey hairs

hahaha... I knew there was a good reason I went with the Chef over j-spec...

Finally some of us have a shipping date now. It has been a while since I the car was bought at auction.. about three weeks now (i think). Only another two weeks and it is on a boat, then 2 weeks shipping... etc...

Darn I have a long wait still to come. This car better be worth it ;)

We need to get custom stickers for these transports (both ships and trucks)

WARNING: MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF PEANUTS AND 6A13TT

My lawyers will be in touch Kris :)

Actually better yet, don't play a player....

bahahaha great pics :) I wonder how many cars/conatainers are on the bottom of the ocean ?

Ben, very touche... is this why on your website you mention to check with the seaway carrier that they have maritime insurance so you don't slugged with salvage fees when they recover your salt-filled pride and joy from the bottom of the ocean?

[edit] So who's NOT at work?

Ohhh look there's our compliance plates as well... Good find :)

Erm, that is not exactly a photograph that instills me with confidence, Ben... Rather trepidation and fear! I guess the upside is this will be a Japanese ship, not Chinese ;)

So how well insured will we be against such a catastrophy??

You'll have full insurance on the car should something like that happen, and it's anything but the norm! We've never had a car lost to a ship sinking or rolling, ever.

LOL hoorah for photoshop, those chops were gold!!

Dont worry about the wait guys, its all worth it :D

So what if I said there is a 1st time for everything :)

just kidding :) my car is probably on the same boat as yours anyway :D

See what happens when the captain sees an S13 roll aboard? He tries some clever ship drifting, looses control and rolls it :D

That's what happens when amateurs try to show off their 1337 5k!11z ;)

On the subject of learning new skills, does anyone in WA know of a large patch of disused asphalt somewhere? I know we don't have any abandoned runways anywhere, but maybe an old industrial carpark or something... I'd like a big, flat open space with no walls or curbs to play with my new car in safety - never tried drifting AWD before, and think it would be fun!

A skidpan day would be your best bet. It would be interesting to see how the AYC works in the wet.
