I know, I know, but k's are getting high now and I reckon the RS4 would chew the juice (especially when I'd be giving it to it all the time to hear that engine!)

I cant! The only RS4 in the price range is the 07/8 models.

Went and had a look at the Merc A250 Sport today. Wow. Ze Germans really know how to build a car! Price is mid 50k and the wait is 3-4 months if you want a specific colour.

Going this week to look at a Golf R i found in Bris that is a demonstrator fully optioned for low 50k (DSG)

My wife found a '11 HSV R8 (Auto) Local for a fair price and only 11k on the clock. She fell in love. Not sure i could live with myself buying a V8 auto.

Then i am going to look at the new Mazda 6 wagon.

Man i thought i would be excited but this is going to be a stressful decision i reckon....

Am I missing something?? New mazda 6 is only 138kw NA 4cyl??

But then again, 5 people in a golf too? Or the Merc? Are you all under 5'6"?

choices don't seem to add up for a family performace car.

Lee, I'd take the twin turbo diesel in the 6.

Yes there are 5 of us and we would all be under 5'6 apart from me lol. Plus dont need pram any more so that saves room.

Performance wise, the Merc A250 sport is soft compared with Megane RS250, Focus ST etc. Take the wife to see a Golf R, I think they are just so sexy in real life she will want one, especially if its in that dark charcoal color.

The new Megane wagoon I posted above is an RS250 slightly de-tuned and with 2 extra doors tacked on... FWD and manuel only though.

Comes with Taco's?

Not put too much consideration into the territories. Will look.

Down to the Golf7 and the Mazda at the moment.

Not getting a Golf now.

Bringing home a Mazda 6 GT wagon tonight for a test drive.
