Just pulled off a rim to have a look if the offset was stamped inside and to my surprise they're stamped with 'Mitsubishi' & has the diamonds an all...
I've had them off plenty of times before doing brakes etc but never noticed.

They're OzRacing turismo Gts (i think) 7.5 x 17 +38

Dunno if they were ever optioned with the car - or on another Mitsu, but i always thought they were aftermarket...

I believe those came stock on an evo 6

Ahhh yep, that's where I recall seeing them now too. The TMEs had white Enkeis instead.

Cool, maybe that's where my Brembos were donated from then also

Hmm it had brembos fitted when it came to Australia - so yeh, maybe!

Anyway, RPF1's going on now.

Hey mate what size RPF1's are you getting? 17x8.5 +35 will clear your brakes but 17x9 you would need +22 to clear them but wont fit in your guards.

Somone correct me if I am wrong but I dont think any VR4s came factory optioned with Brembos so I'd say the previous owner just transplanted the wheels and brakes off an Evo 6.

is anyone running 245 45 on EVO 8 17"x8" Offset 38mm ?

i currently have 235 40 18" hankook RS3 semi slicks on (wheel is buckled so im ditching them and dropping down to 17") and hoping to run the same tyre but wider on the 17" evos

the other option is to sell all my wheels and tyres and go 18" and RS3 again... i do like the look of the enkei though and dont want to drop 2k+ on just wheels

I'm not saying the sidewall doesn't look tough as hell.

I have been told that there is a spacer there and i can only imagine that that is for suspension clearance reasons. Yet to confirm there being a spacer... only go her yesterday...

Would 225/40r18 be alright at stock height the wheels I’m looking at getting are fitted with 245/40 which I’m guessing won’t fit
What other options for tyres have I got
