The rs6 is ball park $250k over the rs4 ~$150 :O

I reckon he might thwart mum and get one if insurance isn't to ridiculous. And I'll get to drive it regardless DAMN IT!

Plenty of good idea's here. I'll shoot them onto him.

Also that Rs4 pic is far from standard trim. The standard rs4 is hot but it looks like a done up A4 imo.

We have a family business in the mining industry that he started 25 years ago.

Of course he's an owner manager and has never owned anything near this expensive.

I think he is just realising that times running out!

From my experience a guy driving a nice car rarely says anything about how much money he has.... it just means he thinks carrying a huge lease is a good idea.

for the features, performance and looks the honda legend beats all those mentioned above... at the moment, I can't think of Toyota, Mitsubishi & Nissan having all that much features in 1 car that the Honda Legend has.

what do you think? am I wrong?!
Damn straight you're wrong, let's see now -

Legend - 226kW, 370Nm, 5 speed auto (which has been commented that the gearing is more like 1-2-3-5-7), 1865kg, 245/45R18 rubber
RS4 - 309kW, 430Nm, 6 speed manual, 1650kg, 255/35R19 rubber

Surely you could find a R35 GT-R with a few kms on it for that price??

Otherwise an RS4, C63, M3 etc...

I would've suggested the 135i as it is the "drivers" car of that price range, but it doesn't sound like what he is after really :(

Tell him to go and have fun driving lots of propects.

What excites him; looks, mechanical specs, class, cost, pedigree, modern or classic, two doors or four, two seats or more, sportscar or tintop, driving on highways or backroads or even trackdays, manuals, autos, DSG, lots of electronics and gadgets etc etc.

Also how is he going to feel about depreciation, service cost, insurance, washing, polishing and the other more hidden aspects of car ownership. Worthwhile doing research in those areas as well.

AUDI RS5, now thats sweet. But since a kid I have always likes the likes of a RS4 or M5 for its power and four door practically. or why not the four door version of the M3?
