What Rims for your VR4 - the "do they look pretty" thread

yeah I know what you mean. Those plane propeller type 19's that were on trademe had lots of room at the middle of the spoke, but they curved in on the inside and actually sat on the brake caliper.

What do you guys think about clear rims?

Personally I think with the right car, they could look great... the problem is most people who buy them will just have the money, not the taste

yea i have the rays book at work with jap retail. but ill ring a guy i know who imports em. I got a price off him last week for volk RE30's and they were like 2700 which was less than what i thought

tossing up lol 18x7.5 or 8.5. i was thinking 7.5 front 8.5 rear but dunno if ayc will enjoy that much. the price i got was for 7.5's i think i cant remember i have it written down but at work lol

18" x 8.5" wide all round,
with a 35 offset and 225/45s fit with not major problems.
thats the size rim/tyre size combo im running

Have you guys noticed how much the factory wheels resemble Work CR-Kai's? I was photochopping a set onto my car and got them side by side:

I do like the stock facelift wheels, but I agree with you about needing to be 17's. If they were 17x8 and the same style, I wouldn't have swapped mine to anything else.

Damn that's pricey, I only paid $700 per rim for custom 17" Simmons on my old car.
