A few random questions?

Hiya, I'm a Legnum owner to be and have a few random questions regarding the car... Here goes...

- Is anyone running staggered rims or will this interfere with the AWD system?

- What is the AWD balance between front and rear, 50/50, 40/60? Are there any magical boxes available to alter the ratios, for example there are GTR ones out there.

- I had a look at the Whiteline Catalogue and couldn't see anything for newer VR4's, would really like to throw on some heavy duty swaybars? Anything available?

- Would 18x8.5 +35 fit with lower King Springs? I think it will be borderline?

Thanks for any info!

Some people have received their car with mismatched tyres and haven't had any problems at all. I think Naughtika had 205/55/16 and 215/50/16 or something similar on his car when he got it, and he didn't blow his transfer case up! There are lots of options that are very close, such as 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 that you could run without destroying anything.

Most of the time the car is 50/50 but I've seen a few dyno graphs which seperate front and rear wheels and in those cases the car starts to put more power towards the back past about 3000rpm or so and goes to about 60/40.

Cusco make sway bars that are 2mm larger than stock.

Lastly Carsten has that exact size and he drives around fine with rolled guards

Thanks for the replies.

So who in NSW is going to lend their car to Whiteline for some testing? :)

I'll do a search now, but at what power levels are the injectors maxing out?

The Legnum will be the missus car/daily driver, but I still plan to do the basics (When she's not looking!)...

Exhaust
IC upgrade
Boost
Fuel pump
SAFC
Suspenion & rims

naughtika, did I spot you on Coro Drv yesterday?

Nah that's just Carsten's spelling / typing - he never checks anything he types :p

haha so true, to busy whoring on mitsi forums to check spelling...

and injectors max out at about 220-230kw at the wheels

they are 390cc hi impedance injectors

and you won't get to 220kw with normal mods. So there is no point upgrading the injectors unless you are changing the turbo's

When you mention guard rolling - is this simply the bending up of the lip? ie. not actual flaring required?

yes just bending of the lip...

facelifts with factory fitted flares dont have the lip so no issue on them.

I believe MOTEC make an EMC that has an AYC control interface built into it that alows you to dial in your F/R ratios.

Happy to be corrected on that one if i am wrong :)

the evo has ACD which is what this unit controls i believe. not sure if you can use it with our galants :( (not sure what ACD stands for, probably something like active central diff or something.. lets you choose between 'modes' for your front/rear power split or something.. another thread has more on this.)

Active center diff, something we dont have, so no use to us

transfer case, and not easily. You need all the hydraulic actuators, control unit, etc etc. And I doubt it would bolt up to our gearbox and driveshaft
