Yea, you really notice a difference with the rear strut brace, makes the leggie much more ridged and responsive around corners

anyone knows any rear strut brace fits FL Galant?
i know it's necessary to make 'holes' between the top towers to let the brace go through

rear strut brace from a legnum should also fit as they have the same width

Still not tight enough for you? Try increasing spring rates or even adjust pre-load.

as everybody in here knows our cars weight alot in the front, and it pushes alot under slippery condition. so adding rear rigidity is neccessary to conteract the understeer.
i don't want to soften the front suspensions any more, otherwise i know i'll get bottom out under harsh cornering.
3 options :
1, sway bar
2, stiff suspensions
3, strut bar

maybe i should get 10kg of spring rate for the rear suspensions

that sounds crazy! LOL

Thats odd, I'm not sure about the Galants but with the suspension setup I have, my car is more likely to over steer than under steer. So you have set the rear to max stiffness and it still wont over steer with your current setup? How hard are you putting it into corners?

I'm running BC Racing BR series coilovers, 12k front and 8k rear, also Cusco rear swaybar. For the front, Cusco Series 1 Lower Arm Bar, stock sway bar, stock strut brace.
for the damper setting of the coilovers, i think i have 13 from the softest at the front and 20 from the softest at the back (total there are 30 clicks from softest to hardest)
i don't want to soften the front dampers anymore otherwise i get bottom out, so other than keep stiffen the back damper setting, the last option i have is adding rear strut brace.

Legnums have weight distribution than Galant, there is definately more weight at the back. That might be the reason with the Galants push alot (or just MY Galant ^_^ )

Suspension wise, I have coilovers, what should be next on the list?
(coming from FWD, where the order tends to be springs/struts> R Swaybar > F Strut brace > R strut > F Sway)
as the priority/best order to upgrade.

does AWD follow the Fwd guide or RWD, which is pretty much the reverse,
so should I look at a Front or Rear swaybar next?

Have a 2002 galant pulled the inside of the garnish in boot to view the top strut bolts and seem to be enclosed:/ how do you fit a rear strut brace in the sedan?? Take back seat out?? Is the rear bolt pattern same as front?? Cheers guys

As far as I know, you cant, unless you want to cut holes in things and what not, you access the strut tops by taking out the top part of the back seat.

you cant fit a rear strut brace at all. you could make one to bolt to the frame of the car

the top mounts are two bolts.

Most people would probably go bars first, rear, then front, braces whenever, then springs and dampers, a lot of that would be cost driven but the bars give you instant adjustability of front/rear handling bias
