Noticed while I had the car apart doing the clutch a couple of weeks ago, that the front engine mount seems like it should have a bush fitted (which mine does not). The mount rubber is in good condition, and the inner metal sleeve is there, but the diameter of that sleeve is like 5-10mm bigger than the mount bolt, ie room to move. Can anyone confirm that there is supposed to be a bush/secondary metal sleeve there?

Any help greatly appreciated as I think it may be contributing to my clutch shudder (especially in reverse) when linked with my new upgraded evo 8 clutch and 5 puk carbonetic friction plate.

Who know's dude. Check the how to part of the forum.

Some of use have replaced all the mounts with urethane ones.

Also there is an evo front mount option that is solid rubber.
