245 is too much but otherwise, good job.

The next size down, in the tyre I wanted, was a 225, but I wanted as much bite on the road as possible, getting the most out of the extra 2.5" of wheel width.

I always said that once I got tyres, she would see track time, so there are no excuses now.

I completely understand why you went with those tyres. Getting as much tyre on the road as possible was my task as well :lol:

Well that model tyre will definitely give you plenty of grip. In the dry at least. They should work well. The sidewalls should be fairly stiff too so wallowing on the wide tyre shouldn't be too much of an issue.
