Vcr player old skool, thats gotta be allmost a winner i reckon
can anyone beat that?

Hey everyone.

Had a question about what the card reader thingy is that is stuck to the side of my centre console and the device on the widscreen behind the rear view mirror....????

I'll get some pics of em up soon...

the card reader is called an e-Tag. Its for the japanese toll roads, so it definately wont be of any use. Mine has one too!

Not sure what the other device is though.

I thought this thread was gonna read as 'Unknown Extra Costs'
hahaha...
I know I've had a few of those.. :( (little ones)

I'm guessing the other part is the transmitter for it then....

It has ETC written on it.

lol, I got these roof racks too. And they are locked to the factory fitted racks...... No key....

Eeeek

The box is operated by an ETC card (bit like a credit card) which you insert into the machine which then adds to your account every time you pass through the toll gate.

Just as an aside, the toll lanes all have boom gates, even the ETC lanes - you're only supposed to go through at 30km/h but my agent took great delight in scaring the crap out of me by hitting them at 100km/h and the boom gate would miss us by centimetres...

my car still has the flare which is supposed to be removed on entry to the UK

Oh, I forgot to post here that mine came with a solar powered radar detector and a factory gps navigation pop-up screen thingo.

cheers

Lee

Mine came with nothing that was a suprize!

However the silver one I bought came with HA Coilovers we did not know about. We thought that was it, until night time when we turned on the headlights, only to find HID's!

I seriously thought about taking them out and putting them in mine! But lucky for Joe (guy that was buying it) I thought better of it!

Oh he also got carbon fibre windscreen wipers, and some brand new spare globes! And a set of wheel nuts for factory wheels!

Your a really nice guy Nick, I would have pinched all that gear quick smart. When's Joe gona join us on here anyway?

I think after tonight he will, he is bringing his silver manual along for a wash!

I got a huge exhaust, resonably quiet though and lowered supension, which I can do without. It is very stiff. How do I tell if it is adjustable? The compliance guy said he swapped two of the coilovers for the C test.

forgot to add it also has a factory fitted fujitsubu exhaust

I don't know what my hidden extras my car will have, hopefully nothing is missing that I do know about !!

Sounds simiar to my exhaust, its rather large but is not over the top sound wise, just right IMO. Have a look through the wheel arches and see if there is a thread on the strut above/below where the spring ends, if so, height adjustable :)

lol....

Hey I picked the roof rack locks, got them off...

Oh the little box on the windscreen is the speaker for the card reader. pretty cool it complains to you in Japanese that you have to put your card in...

Only problem is that when I go round a right bend my knee his the reader and the voice keeps sounding....lol

Unknown extras that came with mine inc;
- side airbags
- electric mirrors that fold in towards the car (maybe this is standard?)
- 10 stacker CD in the boot

Missing items, spare key and the remote for central locking.

Otherwise it was all pretty much stock.

np; car now has roadworthy cert with rego coming tomorrow.
Photo's will be online either tonight or tomorrow, depending on the weather.
