Just received some interesting info in one of the trade things I get.

"Launch" (manufacturer of scan tools etc) have released an OBDII reader and an OBDII recorder. The price seems to be pretty good too ($190+GST for reader, $150+ for recorder)

- Will they suit our cars?
- Are they likely to be a better option than EVOScan etc & cable?

Yes, most of the functions should work with our car???

Ummm, not sure, probably similar.

It will not write to the ECU for reflashing ECU, so yes ECUFlash is still required to flash ECU (dependant on Processor-additional items are required)

Thoughts, if you would like to be the first to buy and try then, just be prepared for a little frustration as I'd be surprised if the cables won't need a little tweaking to get extra functionality working..... if its a fruitful experiment, expect some reps ++

mmm. Same thoughts as I had. The business may need to get one (or both)....
