Power steering pump bearing

Recently I noticed my power steering pump belt has been getting torn, on idle I noticed the power steering pump belt moving around a bit.

Can the bearing and pully be changed if so where could I get one and what are the part numbers? Or do I need a new pump?

The pumps use bushes, not bearings. Well at least the FL ones are like that so I assume the PFL are the same. And they are not available separately.

The pulley is available by itself, there are three different part numbers depending on build date.

06/1996 - 07/1998 = MR223729
08/1998 - 06/2001 (week 1) = MR491095
06/2001 (week 2) - 08/2002 = 4450A005

However you would want to replace all the seals as well, and since you have that much wear in the pulley shaft or bushes then you will probably find the cartridge and vanes are worn out too.

So basically I would be up for a rebuild?

I will have to check build date its 98pfl but not sure if early or late 98

hi am having an issue where i keep damaging my power steering belt. Belt gets torn when in higher rpm or revs. I recently held the ps pulley and i am getting a slight inside/outside movement. Is this normal or is this the cause of my belt being shredded thanks
