Hi All,

Looking at doing the two center bearings on the tail shaft with it out of the car.

Front P/N: MR196669 (31107)
Rear P/N: MR246695 (31109)

I purchased Febest MBC-002 to replace the front and it looks identical. That said it also looks identical to the rear one (apart from a little notch on the external plate).

Has anyone found an aftermarket replacement for the rear bush? I know the unijoints are staked and won't be touching them but I am hoping the bearings/bushes might fix a vibration issue I had at a specific speed range that felt a lot like the tail shaft. The bearings do appear to have a fair bit of slop but also don't feel or appear destroyerd.

You wouldnt happen to have dimensions of the bearing and bolt spacing for the front and rear bearings? I was literally looking at the hardy spicer catalogue the other day.

They also have options for unis so might be worth trying to get some dimensions of the cup and length, and yoke thickness. There might be opportunity to push the staked ones out and put in something else in.

My hold up on my research is getting my tailshaft out and measuring.

I have it out of the car now so will do!

I'll measure what I can and chuck up a dwg.

I can confirm that the overall OD and the ID of front and rear bearing is the same.

OD is 99.5mm
ID is ~30mm
C-C is 157mm
Mounting offset is 30mm
Length ~50mm

All above dimensions are the same front and rear.

Refer attached pics. I really can't see any major difference between the front and rear. Looks like some Evo/Eclipse/Early VR4/3000GT use the same bearing for front and rear so could be the same for us?
