Major tourqe converter seal failure today, travelled 30ks in limpmode. Just made it home. Seals and wavespring for replacement transmission can't arrive quick enough now lol.

If you can, please post pics of the seal failure when you have the trans out. Just seems that these seals leak on most of our cars. I am curious as to whether this is due to inadequate ventlation at high rpm pressuring the system causing the leakage. Possible incorrect tolerances on original specifications or just poor seal quality. Maybee there are some options we havent considered yet! If I recall though if this is the car you recently bought that had sat around for a few years the seal most likely has become brittle. Hope you get it all sorted out too.

Apparently the seal moves and should be glued with locate or similar, this car did sit for a few months, old fluid was disgusting and had vibrations. My last vr4 leaked aswell but nothing like one. Will try to remember to get pics of new and old
