Haha no worries, I'll give that technique a crack, sounds like it'd work well to smooth out a weld. But I spose ideally I'd be good enough to get it right the first time. Still, great to know theres a way to neaten up the welds a bit! Fusion Welding is where you only use the torch (no filler rod) as it starts to pool you step ( a few mm ) until it pools again then step, additionally once the material heats up you can turn the amps down a lil, it will flatten out the bead if its a lil lumpy, as the old fella states overheads are ambitious if your only just starting to TIG.
