So my next job on this wreck I have is to get the AYC diff out.

Advice and tricks on dropping this sucker ASAP?

Quoted from Adam

"to remove the diff (method meaning you dont have to split the balljoint)
undo the hub nut (32mm socket)
undo the caliper so you dont stretch your brake line.
undo the two bolts on the bottom of the hub carrier.
undo the upper wishbone bolt, now you can swing the hub carrier out of the way and push the axle out of the hub.
once the outer of the axle is free from the hub get a prybar and pop the inner out of the diff. and remove the axle.
repeat above steps for the other axle
undo the driveshaft (4x 12mm headed bolts and nuts on the front of the diff)
undo the 6 17mm bolts (3 either side of the front of the diff) the very top passenger side one can be a real prick because it hits on the heat sheild between the diff and fuel tank but be patient with it
support the diff with a jack or wood or bricks etc. and then undo the 2 big 22mm bolts that hold the back of the diff to the subframe (behind the swaybar in the subframe) and if its AYC your removing dont forget to dissconect the AYC lines and remove the AYC system from the car"

as above

or "quick and dirty" method
undo shock and upper wishbone from chassis
undo leading arm from hub carrier
cut the brake lines and ABS sensors
undo driveshaft from diff
undo AYC lines from diff
drop the whole subframe, arms and hub carriers as one.

Followed Badger's advice. Quite an easy job in the end.
