Woops, I towed my VR-4 Legnum with my other one on a 600kg braked trailer, it was auto too (with ATF cooler) and a 3 hour drive with the car on it, but it went well and the car was fine afterwards. But I'm crazy, it's probably not recommended.

By rights the trailer cannot weigh more than the tow vehicle.

would a preface lift be any better/worse than a facelift? i understand the shifting is a bit different speed wise?

It changes for braked & un-braked, usually braked is low around 750kg braked is usually rated by the manufacturer but ours isn't so as trotty said, not greater than the Legnums weight.

That said, my tow bar is rated at 1000kg only because I asked for that, it was going to be stamped as 750.

But I've towed around 1700kg unbraked behind my leggy, but man she felt bloody heavy. Had all 4 wheels spinning on dirt road going up my driveway in 2nd gear with that weight. Wouldn't recommend it unbraked.

I spoke with Wynnum Towbars recently trying to find out what would be the strongest towbar I can get. The guy there said the rails to weld onto are so narrow there's no way they he can rate it above 1500KG. Obviously the towbar capacity itself is a different matter.

That ended my search for a 2.1T rating towbar package on my Legnum. I'd be interested in hearing otherwise.

Yeah nothing substantial to bolt to. I'm quite suprised we can tow at all. With what it attaches to

AYC pump will be in the way if you're using an off the shelf magna type tow bar.

here are sum pics pre install u can see how the exhaust will have to move abit and so will the ayc pump on the other side but should be able to mount back to where they were. also a hole needs to be drilled in the spare wheel bay for the back mount!
