Hi all just wondering what everyone does regarding their battery and alternator wiring when they do a battery relocation to the boot. I’ve got a ve commodore positive post in mine but not very happy with it.
Feel free to post up pictures of the setup.
I had an audio 0g to 4g distro block sitting on the chassis. When i redo the engine by wiring ( read new loom) im going to have a firewall bulkhead fitting and lug to that.
I routed mine up into the fusebox and off the main fuse from there.
My fusebox required modification, however I'm running 1/0 oversized, so it's a bit bigger than the usual.
I think I'm going to run a sepparate voltage sensing wire to the alternator so it puts out a higher voltage and is more effective at charging the battery in the boot. I think the drop over that distance might be screwing with it.
