Where's the best place in the engine bay to ground the neg (-) wire, once the battery has been relocated to the boot?

And once in the boot, (as I understand it) i just ground the negative terminal to somewhere suitable on the chassis?

Needs to be engine to chassis and battery to chassis.

my amp is grounded to the frame in the boot if that helps. just make sure you sand off the paint and expose the raw metal

Don't use no self tapper shit either. Use a nut and bolt and make sure the nut is a nyloc! (better to be safe then sorry!)

ive done this before. find a nice bit of flat metal which will hold a pretty sterdy bolt. usually behind the carpart on either side of the boot. sand away all of the paint around and in the hole. make sure u sand it very well. then connect it all up. make sure the contact area between the cars body panel and the terminal is flat, as i had grounding issues because there wasnt enough contact.
