After lots of delays and other bullshit ive finally programmed and made the protype inners.

Now I can work out some anodising. Hopefully it wont be too much longer till our 4th axis arrives so I can actually use the 1200$ worth of custom carbide tooling to cut the teeth.

Its getting closer to completion..

Fixture and program for the PCD threads in the belt ring done. The stock cam position trigger fits like a glove.

I just need to optimise the lathe programs to better suit production. As i just did it quick and dirty to rattle off the prototypes.

Hopefully the global supply chain being fucked at the moment doesnt hurt me too much in wait time for the equipment to cut the teeth onto the outer.

Finally becoming relality though

The outers will be black regardless as they need to be hard anodized for wear resistance or the belt will just eat into the aluminum.
You can anodized the centers a natural/clear finish if so desired.

FINALLY got the CNC indexer and immediately made the fixture to cut the cam gear teeth. The belt fits perfect!

The prototype set will go off for anodizing asap then production can start on the sets for you guys to buy!

If your keen on a set please PM me and ill add you to the list.

Pricing is looking like it'll be 900-1000NZD for a set of 4
Which is roughly the same per gear as the likes of kelford/tomei etc.
Will start out with bronze centers only for the first batch but can do different colours down the road. Outers will always be black due to the nature of the hard anodising process.

But production of the first 10 sets has begun!

Have done the file for the laser engraver for the timing marks.
Full length marks at zero and +10° / -10°
75% length marks at +5°/-5°
And 50% length marks for all the others
This should mean you have to do a bit less squinting to get them where you want them with the engine in the car.

Welcoming any feedback on the Advance/Retard marking font. Rounded Bold Aerial for now.

Have also got a PNG of thr VR4 emblem to place on them somewhere.

The first set should be back from anodising any day now!P
PS: this is the range of colors possible for the centers(excluding gold).
Already have requests for red, blue, grey, and bronze. So hopefully will see a variety soon.
