    Hey everyone,

Thought I would share something I have developed over the last week. I have a Japanese copy of the the 6A13TT Galant/Legnum manual, and have been able to use Google Translator to determine what the codes for each flashing dash light will indicate when the car is in diagnostic mode. I hope these diagnostic codes will be useful to the members, and feedback any comments/changes:

With the iginition on, but enging NOT running - ground Pin 1 to Pin 4 of the diagnostic/OBDII connector (using a bit of wire or paper clip) which is located by your left knee up under the dash. You will then get the engine light, N of the trans, ABS, TCL and ASC (if you have them) flashing.

To read the codes it will be a series of long then short flashes, ie the TCL light flashing _ _ _ _ *pause*. . . . . indicates code 45 (if you get what I mean) There will be a very long pause between each code if you have more than one error code.

The connector looks this shape, and this is the pin configuration:

Lee, you still have some terms leftover in the KAPITARIZEIJIONU style.

"corresponding solenoid DOBARUBU drive signal "
    DOBARUBU - can't think of a translation......

"solenoid DOBARUBU" is a half-translated version of "solenoid valve" where the D has been repeated.

There's also a list of AYC ecu codes as well. I believe they are the same as the ones listed in the Evo AYC Service guide we have hosted on here.

    cheers

Lee: Just double checked the Jap VR4 Translated Version to the AYC service guide. They are the same, but I posted here for completeness ;)

Just a note guys, this was all translated using google translate from the japanese manual available here:
    6A13TT-JapaneseManual.rar
When you determine what your code is simply open up the corresponding section of the manual and translate the breakdown page to determine what the problem is.

    ;)

    Sweet! I'll try it tonight.

If a error code found, then how to fix it? Can this be done as DIY or a mechanic?

Depends on the problem and the solution...
Bit like saying "my brakes don't work, is it DIY or a Workshop job?"
Could be pads only (DIY) or could be new master cylinder, new brake lines, calliper rebuild, bleed and road test, which is tending to a workshop job.

  14. Hey guys I've just done a diagnostic code check and i found that i have 4 problems. Starting with engine codes #13 inlet temperature sensor system,#24 speed sensor system <Which is probably why my speedo is not working!!>,#25 atmospheric pressure sensor system and last of all a AYC code #12 voltage power supply(supply valve) system. can any one help ,point me in the right direction are they an easy fix thanks jase.

Jason I'll let this one fly 'cause you're new (and I've already answered in your other thread and don't have time to find and move it here) but in future please only post your question in one place (and in this case, this thread would have been the correct place). Thanks :)

    Just flashing lights

I tried it yesterday and only got the flashing lights, nothing else. No pauses.....nothing. Just the flashing of lights that you're talking about.
Hotwire, does this mean I have no faults?? Anyone
