this is how i did it for my headlights....it would just be a simple case of using this method but with the ground for the fog light switch http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/r...DES/BEFORE.png
the headlight switch grounds the power wire when its on. and that in turn tells another switch to let all the power flow through to the lights.......just like how your open door sensors use positive and when grounded your interior lights come on
this method still allows for the switch to function correctly also, so if for some reason you turn your lights off then when you start your car they will be off, but if you leave them on all the time they will turn on with your ignition
whilst asking for help, i was laughed at for wanting to do this and called lazy and all kinds of things. but i did it and it works great
as for the dimming, as far as i know if your alternator and battery arent able to supply the power that your car is asking for then somethings gotta give i guess and so stuff dims.
and unlike using a capacitor for an amp, headlights and foglights constantly drain power so a capacitor wouldnt work
ps im not an auto elec and dont hold me responsible if your car fucks up lol (mine hasnt yet going strong for 3 months with this being done)
