Is it possible to fit series 2 tail-lights on a series 1, I've looked at the respective ass ends, looks like it would need complete tailgate, spoiler and bumber swap.... Are the support brackets the same on Series 1 & 2?

Not easily as the sheetmetal on the side panels is slightly different. Simple answer is buy a facelift, it is easy and you get other benefits
