Define xtreme clutch for me please, Macca? Not sure if you're talking about the HD clutch or another brand name?

If you mean the Exedy HD clutch, yes it's definitely killable, but not without trying hard (talking from personal experience). If people out there are dumping the clutch at high rpm they're going to kill SOMETHING. Personally I'd much prefer it was the clutch than literally ANY other driveline component - the next weakest component is the cylindrical output shaft, you can ask Paul all about the fun of replacing that... So the HD kit is strong enough for the application (IMO) while leaving the car as drivable as the stock unit, which gets my vote. If you're taking your car out to try to set ¼mile records dumping the clutch at high rpm, be THANKFUL when your clutch blows, 'cause it's the cheapest and easiest component to fix.

Now if your clutch wears / breaks during relatively normal street driving, that's quite another thing...

Sorry Trev, I was referring to the brand Xtreme Clutch.

I believe most failures are part of the wrong clutch for the wrong application.
