This would be cool as it shows engine power, battery, boost, g force, ....... the list just keeps going

This 6½" touch-screen DVD player allows on-screen graphic control of the
new Pioneer iPod® adaptor, and is the dedicated screen for the exciting Vehicle
Dynamics Processor that puts a full array of vehicle status information right there
on your Pioneer screen. And it's even easy to install as it features all of its
circuitry in a single chassis.

An exceptional product that puts real-time vehicle status
information right there on your Pioneer AVH-P5750DVD screen.
This hideaway unit collects operating parameters from the vehicle and satellite
positioning data to provide valuable information on your vehicle.

Some pics I found on the net...

They have been out for probably over a year maybe, autobarn used to have them. They might be an old model by now not sure. It would be cheaper to get both at once, from memory over $1000, maybe 1500.... never buy at full price as they always come down. They should pop up on ebay every now and then.

The AVH-P5750DVD is an old model so the AVH-P4950DVD looks like the new model RRP$1,399 and the AVG-VDP1 which was released in 2005 RRP$849

There there is one on ebay for $850 Item number: 330175404625.

Do you think that you could plug that box into another pioneer screen and get the info? more importantly the AVH-P6850DVD Screen?

Jarred the Pioneer Vehicle Dynamics Processor AVG-VDP1 is what you want.

Personally I'm after Pioneer's new flagship, the AVIC-HD3 - that system is gorgeous and contains a VDP built in!! :D

Nice if it had a Boost Gauge too...:p

It doesn't have a boost gauge, if you were curious....

Here's the list !

No only post 2000 Screens from Pioneer.

It uses a special input plug that pioneer uses so you can control it via the touch screen etc

Models supported.

The AVG-VDP1 is compatible with AVH-P7800DVD, AVH-P7850DVD, AVH-P6800DVD, AVH-P6850DVD, AVH-P5700DVD and AVH-P5750DVD models only

No one's commented on the 637km/h yet, so consider this the first comment on that fact :)

And at only 1,039rpm, imagine the top speed on that baby! :D

LOL Connor that's why it says 'sensor learning' - its probably running through a self configuration program which will show all kinds of weird numbers. I'm willing to bet the car was actually stationary when that photo was taken ;)
