It does say further down the bottom that the price is for both front and rear turbo, but they include 2 kits per box, and 1 kit per packaging, still $700 is pretty expensive...

I feel a little weird saying this....but why all the hate towards RPW? It really seems like no one has read either of these listings to completion.

$700 for the pair of dumps *Ceramic Coated* is about right if you ask me. Its a little dear but ceramic coatings do not come cheap and typically go for close to $300 per dump. If you are making your own dumps do get them coated or wrapped in the least otherwise you might just wave goodbye to a couple of your accessories overtime.

Someone explain what's wrong with $900 for a pair of new turbos? They may not produce the power that td04's do but they don't add any lag either + they are new so no worry about shaft play. If someone has blown a turbo they are a good option, rebuilding a turbo does not come cheap. The same scenario stands if a person doesn't want to start putting on new manifolds but wants a little more power. Not sure if people realise this but search BKK lite. You get EVO owners forking out 2k+ for small horsepower gains. Not that different with SR owners putting on some disco action. Modding never came cheap, let alone bolt on's.

Sorry for the rant. These guys may be overpriced but I think its better to have some extra options.

Wrong, it says ceramic coating is an optional extra. Club VR4 have been just as harsh due to the issue's people have had with the quality and service by RPW. The price for the turbos seem OK but we don't have any results to suggest whether there is any noticable performance increase.

*Edit: Sorry Schneider, I was wrong about the cost with ceramic coating!

More replies on this thread.

Don't think your going to have much if any interest in these after the downpipes you made were a flop resulting in us who bought them having to have them repaired at our own cost after being on our cars for less than 2 years. I have been quoted £150 to replace the flexi's.

You keep coming up with this excuse of (being extremely lowered vehicles who are damaging the front flex pipes on our front pipe kits) but my car is only lowered by 28mm at the front.

If you raise the downpipes by 30mm your risking them hitting the transfer box resulting in hearing it knocking all the time.

May be if you compensated us members for your cock up on the sub-standard downpipes you made then may be & that's a big may be you may get some more interest in other parts you make for VR4's

Until you hold your hands up & say you made a mistake with the downpipes I well steer every member on here away from your products.

Edit: Just to add. I have SS cat back exhaust that is guaranteed for life or as long as I have the car. Most exhaust specialist Garages in the UK will offer this with all there custom builds so why don't you?

Actually if you read it properly there is a drop box down the bottom it says Black Ceramic Coated (standard) then No ceramic coating (-$150.00)

Not extactly cheap but if there built well its not unreasonable.

With saying that I dont think ill be buying any :)

On the td03-8 upgrade page, it states "price per unit(piece)" which sounds like $900 per turbo.

Exactly proof of what I meant. You aren't reading it properly. The $680 is the optional price, you can get them for around $500 uncoated

This I can agree with. Reasonable line of thought. I'm just surprised at the amount of people just jumping straight on the hate train.

On the td03-8 upgrade page, it states "price per unit(piece)" which sounds like $900 per turbo.

It also says there are 2 parts in a box which kind of reads as getting both turbo's considering a CHRA is a single part. I could be wrong...maybe I'm just an optimist. Might actually ask him to clear up the confusion...not saying I'd buy any of this stuff myself. But again at least its something different. You have to start somewhere after all.

I've read about all the issues regarding his front pipes. Funny thing is people even on here and clubvr4 still buy them o_O

You are correct. The same applies to the turbos, it clearly states that it includes 2 of them.

All good Dice. Just had to point it out is all. OzVR4 has always been such a friendly community :). I was just surprised to see such a change in tone and attitude towards just one person.

With all that said respect to the guys banding together to make something new! If you are taking off the heat shields for new dumps, don't forget to protect your gear somehow!

Cool, just gave em a call, spoke with David. He was pretty happy to have a chat and (without any prompting from myself) even acknowledged issues he's had with a Ozvr4 and clubvr4 regarding the front pipes as they didn't take cars lowered beyond 20mm into account. Ah well live and learn. Says he's making the dumps 20mm shorter than stock to bring the front pipes up a bit too.

Price for turbos is $900 for the pair. He acknowledged they're only something you'd do if replacing a pair of dead OEM huffers.

well that's stupid, cause people with aftermarket pipes cant use them cause we would have had our pipes made correctly.

I'm reasonably confident that's what he said, then again I don't confess to having a perfect memory. He mighta been talking about the test car he was working on currently using their front pipes. There might be an option to get them at stock length or shorter for their front pipes. Not 100% sure.

Disclaimer: Don't take my word as gospel, if you're gonna buy 'em, call first and confirm.

Exactly my thoughts. What about people wanting dump pipes but stock everything else. They need to fix the original problem, not screw up another item.

Also holy horrible grammer batman. That quote from CVR4 was pretty painful to decipher.

Just wondering if there is any news on these? Not the RPW ones but the ones Tim was thinking of making.
