I dont know if youve seen standard mounts but the rubber is in a metal sleeve so to machine a rubber mount down and to try and fit it through a hole slightly smaller so its tight is not gonna happen even with heaps of lube

yup, its called interference fit

chuck the metal in the freezer over night and heat the rubber with a heat gun, then lube and squeeze that mofo in
