Hi guys. I know this is old as but I'm currently in the process of buying a legnum and was wondering if this could be revived? If not a point in the right direction just to get the wave Springs changed out and transmission cooler installed would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

G'Day Shane,
I changed my own wave spring, you can see pretty detailed info in my thread....

I also purchased a transmission cooler and in-line thermostat, but I didn't end up installing them.
You can purchase them off of me for $180 + postage.
These are the items I have...

Hi Phil.

You were lucky enough to have it already changed over it seems. I don't have access to the gear and mainly time to rip apart the tranny to do it myself so will be looking at getting someone else to do it for me.
How much should I expect to pay? I'll be researching to find out if it's had the wave spring upgraded or not in the meantime.

Thanks, I'll keep you in mind about the cooler parts. If it's not necessary I may skip it, the car will be purely a cruisey daily driver, I won't be pushing it hard at all.

Pushing hard or not, a decent cooler is a preventative maintenance item and highly recommended by the auto crew.

When I've replaced wavesprings, I've also welded/tacked the planerary gearset pins... these fall apart over time and I believe this is something else that MV does.
