Guys do the price of the water pump and the O2 sensor seem high to you??

Yea that's what I thought... Can anyone who's gotten a replacement wade in with their experience here? I know of at least one Australian member who's replaced his...

Carsten you recently got an aftermarket O2 sensor (with other various control equipment). Is that O2 sensor compatible with the standard wiring & ECU? Does it bolt straight in?

Do you think its even worth upgrading to a full system like you put in?

Good job with the resort, Lee :) Suggest putting the heater hose kit above the water pump, and move the timing tensioner arm at the bottom of the timing section (as its the least important / most unlikely to be needed).

Me Crazy
I don't suppose anyone else would be interested in these, but I'd really like to know the part numbers for the following;
Moonroof motor
Moonroof ECU
Facelift Engine ECU

even if i hadnt done all the upgrades i have to fuelling,
and my factory o2 sensor was bung,

i would get an after market unit, since the mitsi one is so bloody expensive,

the lc1 is pretty much a bolt it job, (sensor goes in the factory place fine) but you do need to wire up a few wires (6 in total) (power, earths, calibration, and new sensor feed to the factory ecu)

Hmm sounds like a plan - dirty O2 sensors are a pretty common cause of problems for many cars, so I've been thinking of replacing mine...

Hmm do you wanna include a link next to the factory part on the front page of this thread back to your other one? Or maybe just a link or some details on the O2 sensor? Is it a Bosch LSU 4.2?

Alternator Assembly . . . . . . . . . . . . MD336781 . . . . $1426.70
Alternator Brush. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . MD618689 . . . . $30.03

Sunroof Drive Motor . . . . . . . . . . . **NO DATA** . . CAPS ref: 78632
Sunroof Control Unit . . . . . . . . . . . **NO DATA** . . CAPS ref: 82664
Engine Control Unit (ECU). . . . . . . . . MR578135 . . . . CAPS ref: 82522

For some reason CAPS doesn't have part numbers for certain electrical components such as MMCS related things and a lot of the sunroof components. My theory is they probably weren't made internally within Mitsubishi so aren't readily available as spare parts.

Just wondering but can the mods move this thread to guides and write ups. Or just put all useful parts info into this thread, just seems like it would fit better. Maybe change the title to "Parts Guide".
And also make it a non posting thread so it doesn't get messy like this one is. But use this to collate new parts. Its a big ask but wil be very useful and easier.

Hi Sam,

I'll try and get that sorted tonight. I'll rename this one to 'New Part Numbers' or something similar and maintain one sticky post in the guides section

cheers

Lee

Hi guys,

I've renamed this thread and created a clean sticky one to hold the list. I decided to keep it in this section as a) I'm a moderator in here and b) it seems like a better fit than the Guides section.

cheers

Lee

Hey Lee, can you remove the BOLD tags from the list in the new thread? Its screwing up all the spacing :p

I've replaced mine, and yes, that is way more than the $100 odd I paid for it. Perhaps this part number is refering to more than just the pump though?
