Exhaust Technology about 3-4 months ago about 900-1000 for a catback, quite steep i suppose. but good welds, very neat and i liked their work ethics. I watched the entire process. All stainless with a single JunBL oval muffler.
It's just an exhaust, Steve's option sounds pretty decent. I heard it roll away on Sunday night and it was nice, a little quiet though.
As for Catalyst, not really any point changing unless you do front pipes too i think.

Do you have any photos of the work and what does it sound like? I left before you on Sunday night so I didn't get to hear it. What's the muffler like?

I actually already had the muffler (Apexi cannon). I'm sure they do oval mufflers like a lot of people have on here, or buy one you like and take it there.
It might look a little big in pics, but it certainly isn't in person. VR4s are a bit chunky and can make things look small, like wheels.

I'm gonna be getting a catback in the next month or so with either AAA or ET. I understand ET don't do mild steel so I'm leaning towards AAA (and AAA are right around the corner from me). How much should I be expecting to pay for MS catback including a resonator (or two) and muffler. $600-$700? Someone here had one done a couple of years ago at AAA for $580.

Just put a high flow one in. Still gets rid of most of the harmful stuff.
I wouldn't risk it. While the chance of being caught is somewhat low (unless they pull you over for another defect and just so happen to look under the car) the penalties are huge. Something like $10,000 is the maximum fine and it's not issued as a traffic offence but by the EPA or some shit.
